K.B. Kachru is chairman of Radisson Hotel Group in South Asia and has played an instrumental role in
building the Group’s business in South Asia since 1998. K.B. continues to be on the governing board of
the Group’s South Asia business entities including RHG’s Joint Venture companies.
K.B. is an active member of various Tourism and Hospitality Advisory Committees at the state and national levels. He is presently President of Hotel Association of India, Governing member of Hospitality Skill Council of India of India (THSC), and on the national committee of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII’s) Tourism Committee.

He has been on the Board of Directors for the Tourism Corporation of various state governments and on
the Board of Governors of the Institute of Hotel Management in New Delhi.
He was also appointed to the Governing Board of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Trust, J&K, one of India's most prominent and visited Hindu religious destinations. He has served as an executive member of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) India Chapter, the American Society of Travel Agents of India, the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association of India (FHRAI) and India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB).
He spearheaded the formation of the Institute for International Management and Technology (IIMT) in collaboration with Oxford Brookes University, UK. During his tenure at India Tourism Development Corporation, he led The Ashok Group of Hotels, National duty-free operations. During his tenure he introduced duty-free operations on arrival at all the key international airports in India.
K.B. has been awarded Carlson Fellowship by Carlson Companies, USA. Global recognition for his contribution to Tourism at WTM London, UK and ITB Berlin, Germany. He has received lifetime achievement/ Hall of Fame award at SATTE and Today’s Traveller. He was also bestowed the most prestigious ‘Aathitya Ratna Award’ by the Hotel Investment Forum of India besides being recipient of ‘Hall of Fame’ award by Business World (Hotelier).
