Venkataraman Subramanian
Venkataraman Subramanian serves as the Managing Director, Gyproc, Insulation and Mortars businesses of Saint-Gobain India Private Limited. Under his leadership, the Group has made significant inroads into the Light and Sustainable Construction markets in India. He also leads the Sustainability practice of Saint-Gobain group in India and is responsible for developing the Affordable Housing market strategy and its implementation in the country.
Prior to joining Saint-Gobain in 2004 he served Hindustan Unilever for 21 years starting as a Management Trainee. His last assignment with Levers was as a Managing Director for Vashishti Detergents Limited, a subsidiary of HUL. He has worked in Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and Business Management across Food and Soaps and Detergents businesses at HUL.
Venkat is an Engineer by qualification, having completed his B.Tech from IIT Madras. He lives with his wife Hema in Mumbai. They have two boys.
