Sudeep Jain spearheads the IHG team in South West Asia and leads both the Development and the Operations team in the region. Working with his team, his primary responsibilities include maximizing the revenues, profits, quality and service objectives of IHG hotels in the regions. He also leads the team responsible to grow IHG’s footprint and achieve it growth goals. Sudeep brings with him over 15 years of rich and varied experience in the hospitality industry across diverse roles in several countries. Prior to this role he led the development team for IHG in region for three years, growing IHG’s pipeline by 2x including signing and operationalizing the largest conversion deal in India.
Earlier, Sudeep led the Development function for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide in South Asia. Over the three years that Sudeep was there, he led the team to sign over 50 deals with Starwood brands in the region. The team achieved almost 50% market share in signings in the relevant segments. Prior to that he was the Managing Director at Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels and Hospitality Group for India since its inception in 2008. Under his guidance, JLL HHG achieved industry leading status completing over 60 feasibility and market studies, more than 20 operator searches and mandates to sell more than 10 hotels on behalf of owners.

He was selected amongst the Top 100 most Influential People in the hospitality industry by the Hotelier Magazine for the year 2013. Sudeep was earlier with Starwood Hotels & Resorts as Vice President, Global Development Marketing and Planning based at the company’s U.S. headquarters where he worked for six years. Prior to that, he worked with Bain & Company, Inc. as a management consultant leading client teams and also as an investment banker with Merrill Lynch, Singapore.

His career has taken him across a number of places including New York, Boston, Singapore, Sydney, Hong Kong and India enriching his experience and enhancing his global perspective. Sudeep has a Bachelor’s Degree from Dartmouth College where he double majored and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He has also completed the PDP program at Cornell Hotel School to further enrich his hospitality knowledge.
