Omar Romero is the Chief Development and Luxury Officer for Minor Hotels. In this role, Omar is
responsible for driving the growth and expansion of Minor Hotels by identifying new business
opportunities, overseeing the planning and execution of new projects, and managing relationships with
key stakeholders. Concurrently, he also advises and supports the curation of the company’s Luxury
brands.
Omar has over 20 years of experience in the industry and prior to joining Minor, served as Chief
Development Officer at Six Senses. During his tenure with Six Senses, Omar successfully adapted to
three eras of ownership with Soneva Group, Pegasus Capital Advisors LP and InterContinental Hotels
Group, and led the signing of over 50 Hotel Management Agreements, with approximately half of them
having a branded residential component.
A graduate from the renowned Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne and Les Roches Hotel Management School, Omar is a passionate globetrotter who is always on a quest to find exciting development opportunities and thrives on delivering exceptional experiences in every completed project.
