A graduate from Delhi University with a degree in Interior Designing (Delhi) and Travel & Tourism
Diploma (Mumbai), Jyoti Mayal is a Director, since 1980, of New Airways Travels (Delhi) – one of the
leading travel agencies in the country & highly accredited by Airlines.
A proven leader with forward-thinking, innovative management & dynamic abilities, she has helped
New Airways Travels grow, diversify, and blossom into a global standards organization. With a
burning desire to contribute her services & expertise for the betterment of the travel trade and her
vision to raise standards of travel & tourism, she forayed and began her journey in the Travel
Agents Association of India – the oldest and biggest nodal association in the country.
She has launched successfully “Wellness, Tourism & Education” among children starting from the young age of 3 years under the banner of “Jack & Jill”. She runs campaigns for Prime Minister’s Vision, “Save the Girl Child”.
She also has been at the forefront of Honoring Icons of Travel, Tourism, Hospitality & Luxury along with Iconic Woman & Man of the year on the platform of ICONIC.
ICONIC FORUM is a platform to discuss and debate the challenging , pressing and thought – provoking matters of the Travel , Tourism and Aviation industry featuring talks /issues of World importance by Stakeholders, Industry & World Leaders.
ICONIC Awards is a platform that acknowledges and celebrates the men and women who have defined the industry. A unique initiative, that aspires to connect the world of premium business events and corporate travel specialists with the world of experiential travel.
Another initiative led by Jyoti Mayal is TIES – The Iconic Experiences Show. TIES, unites visionary leaders across various sectors, from travel to wellness, in a gamechanging experience, including Sustainability and Eco-Tourism. Provides the ideal platform for Governments, State Governments, Tourism Boards, Airlines, Hotels & other Travel and Tourism related stakeholders to showcase their products to both B2B & B2C.
Jyoti has worked towards the upliftment of women and believes that one of the most impactful ways to drive sustainable development is by equipping women with the skills they need to thrive in emerging green economies. She has skilled over 700 women even during COVID-19 and got them assured jobs in the Industry. By providing women with targeted training and resources, she not only empowered them to secure meaningful employment but also strengthen entire communities. Skilling women for these roles is not just a matter of equity, it’s a smart investment in the future. She has played a key role in spreading awareness about the importance of skilling in India and when women are given access to the tools they need, they become catalysts for change, driving innovation and sustainability while helping to build more resilient economies for all.
