CP Gurnani (popularly known as ‘CP’ within his peer group), is a visionary leader who epitomizes the
transformative power of entrepreneurship. A chemical engineering graduate from the National Institute
of Technology, Rourkela, CP is a distinguished and active alumnus of the institute and has been
felicitated with an honorary Doctorate by four different Universities.
In a career spanning 40+ years, CP has worn multiple hats, each underlining his commitment and passion and reflective of his unique blend of strategic acumen and exponential thinking that have helped him lead various bold transformations.

CP holds a wealth of experience, cultivated at industry giants like Tech Mahindra, Hewlett Packard Ltd., Perot Systems (India) Ltd., and HCL Corporation Ltd. The SKOCH Group and the CEO’s Association for Inclusive India (CAII) has conferred CP with the 'CEO’s Choice Lifetime Achievement Award’ 2021 – the nation’s highest independent civilian honor.
CP was the force behind one of the biggest turnarounds of Indian Corporate History – the acquisition and merger of Satyam. He has also been featured in a Harvard Case Study on ‘Tech Mahindra and the Acquisition of Satyam Computers.'
In addition to his impressive career, CP Gurnani is also the Co-Founder and Executive Vice Chairman of AIonOS, a joint venture between InterGlobe and Assago Group.

His leadership extends beyond his role, and he actively contributes to shaping the future of education. He is the Founder and Trustee of Plaksha University and serves on the Board of IIM Nagpur and the Mahindra University. He is also the Chairman of Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited (MHRIL).
CP has served as a Chairman of NASSCOM for the year 2016-2017 and is the Chairman of the CII National Committee on IT & ITeS. He has been part of the Indian PM’s CEO delegations to multiple countries.

CP’s work goes beyond business and academia. He exemplifies dedication in giving back to the community and nudges people to invest their time towards the betterment of humanity and society. He serves in various capacities with the Mohan Foundation and, Feeding Hands in Jaipur and along with his wife, Anita Gurnani, Co-Founded Titliyan, an NGO that is spreading quality education and developing the life and social skills of underprivileged children. His tireless efforts to give back to society reflect his commitment to creating an impact beyond the bottom lines.

CP has been one of the longest-serving CEOs of the technology sector and retired as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tech Mahindra on 19th Dec 2023. As CP embarks on a new journey, he eagerly embraces entrepreneurship as the upcoming frontier for personal growth and exploration.
