Arun Saraf is a visionary hotelier celebrated for his pioneering spirit, unwavering commitment to

Arun earned a degree in Business and Economics from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1981, laying a solid foundation for his remarkable career. In 1982, alongside his father, Mr. Radhe Shyam Saraf, he embarked on a transformative venture by establishing Hotel Yak and Yeti in Kathmandu, Nepal. This marked the beginning of their incredible journey together.

Their collaborative efforts led to the construction of Hyatt Regency Delhi in a mere two years, just in
time for the Asian Games. This architectural marvel, boasting 518 rooms, stood as a testament to his
ability to surmount even the most formidable challenges in hotel development.
Building upon this early success, his leadership continued to flourish. By 1989, he had successfully expanded Yak and Yeti from its initial 108 rooms to an impressive 250 keys, showcasing his visionary growth strategies.
In 1990, he assumed the role of Executive Director at Asian Hotels Ltd. This pivotal role led to the establishment of Hyatt Regency Kathmandu in 2002, followed by Hyatt Regency Mumbai and Hyatt Regency Kolkata in 2003.
In 1995, he founded Juniper Hotels, a testament to his calculated spirit of innovation. Collaborating with Hyatt in 1998, they opened the iconic Grand Hyatt Mumbai Hotel in 2004. This establishment redefined contemporary luxury and reshaped the cityscape.
Arun Saraf’s second phase of development began with the acquisition of Hyatt Regency Chennai in 2011. Subsequent years witnessed remarkable openings, including Hyatt Place Hampi (2012), properties in Raipur and Ahmedabad (2014 and 2015), and the launch of Hyatt Regency Lucknow and Andaz Delhi (2017).
