Sanjeev Jaiswal is a senior IAS officer of the 1996 batch and currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA). With a career spanning nearly three decades, he has held several key leadership positions across Maharashtra, driving large-scale urban development, public infrastructure, and governance reforms.
Over the course of his career, he has served as CEO of Nashik Zilla Parishad, Municipal Commissioner of Thane and Nagpur, District Collector in multiple districts, Additional Commissioner at the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, and Principal Secretary (water supply & sanitation department) in the Government of Maharashtra. In these roles, he has led transformative initiatives in urban planning, water supply, sanitation, housing, and public service delivery.
At MHADA, he is spearheading major redevelopment and rental housing initiatives aimed at improving urban living conditions and expanding access to quality, affordable housing. His work reflects a governance philosophy centered on inclusivity, transparency, sustainability, and citizen-centric development.
Throughout his career, he has received multiple national and international awards for administrative excellence, environmental initiatives, and public service innovation.
